Okos takes your privacy seriously. We will never sell your personal information.

The privacy of individuals connected with Okos Smart Homes and their subsidiaries (together, the “Corporation” or “we”), including our customers, suppliers, contractors, employees and website visitors is of great importance to us, and is something we take very seriously. Keeping Personal Information in strict confidence is a cornerstone of our business. Regardless of how the range of services we provide to our customers expands, and the technology we use changes, we will always strive to protect the privacy of Personal Information in accordance with this privacy policy (“Privacy Policy”).

This Privacy Policy describes the principles on which the Corporation and its employees and agents will protect the privacy of Personal Information, set out the principles on which our privacy practices are based, and take into consideration the various privacy laws across the country which also help protect your Personal Information (as defined below). This Privacy Policy is part of our commitment to ensure that all Personal Information of individuals in our possession and under our control is protected and used in accordance with the law, and outlines how Personal Information is collected, used, stored and disclosed by the Corporation. This Privacy Policy as it applies to a subsidiary of the Corporation may be superseded by a policy specifically adopted by such subsidiary.

How We Use and Disclose Your Personal Information

Retention of Your Personal Data

The Company will retain Your Personal Data only for as long as is necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy. We only retain Personal Information for as long as is necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was originally obtained, unless we are required or permitted by law to retain the information for a longer period. When Personal Information is no longer needed or permitted to be retained, it is securely destroyed or made anonymous as appropriate.

Children’s Privacy

Our Service does not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from anyone under the age of 13. If You are a parent or guardian and You are aware that Your child has provided Us with Personal Data, please contact Us. If We become aware that We have collected Personal Data from anyone under the age of 13 without verification of parental consent, We take steps to remove that information from Our servers.

We strive to ensure that all Personal Information is accurate, correct, and up-to-date, and take all reasonable efforts to ensure that the integrity and accuracy of such information is protected. 

You can ask to see the Personal Information that we hold about you. If you want to review, verify or correct your Personal Information, please contact our Privacy Officer using the contact information set out below. Please note that any such communications must be in writing.

Upon a written request, we will provide you with reasonable access to your Personal Information held by us as described in this Privacy Policy, and will identify how the information has been used and to whom it has been disclosed. If you find that any such information is incorrect, we will take necessary steps to update or correct it as required. Where required by law, if an individual whose Personal Information is held by us has a sensory disability, as required by law, we will give access to their Personal Information in an alternative form.
